Kristin Higgins, MD
Dr. Kristin Higgins is an Associate Professor and Medical Director in Radiation Oncology at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. She also serves as the disease team leader for thoracic oncology at Winship Cancer Institute. Her clinical research focuses on the combination of radiation therapy and novel therapeutic agents to improve outcomes in non-small and small cell lung cancer. She serves as the overall principal investigator for NRG Oncology LU005, a phase III international trial of chemoradiation +/- atezolizumab for limited stage small cell lung cancer. She is very active in NRG Oncology and is member of the board of directors. She is also active within the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), the American Board of Radiology, and the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).
