Abdul Rafeh Naqash, MD
Abdul Rafeh Naqash, MD received his medical degree at the Government Medical College Srinagar, Kashmir. Dr. Naqash completed his sub-specialty clinical training in Hematology/Oncology at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC and an early phase clinical trial fellowship at the National Cancer Inst, Bethesda in the developmental therapeutics’ clinic. As an Assistant Professor in the phase 1 program at Stephenson Cancer Center, Dr. Naqash is focusing his interest in drug development and incorporating a genomically driven approach to early phase clinical trials. He is also interested in Lung Cancer, immunotherapy biomarkers, understanding resistance patterns to Immunotherapy and immune toxicities. Some of this work has been published in high impact journals such as Journal of Clinical Oncology, JAMA Oncology, Journal of Immunotherapy of Cancer, Clinical Cancer Research among others. Dr. Naqash has been the recipient of several coveted nationally recognized awards, including The NCI Directors Award, The 2022 40 under 40 in Cancer Award, among several others.
