Despite rapidly evolving therapeutic advancements in modern oncology, more than 42,000 women and men succumb to metastatic breast cancer (mBC) caused deaths each year. To relieve the suffering of patients, she has been focusing on innovative treatments and biomarkers and new ways to induce tumor-agnostic approaches. As the Director of Translational Research of the Breast Cancer Program and the Associate Director of Clinical Science at Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center Laboratories, she continues the fight against aggressive breast cancers as a physician-scientist.
