Karilyn Larkin
Dr. Larkin is an Assistant Professor at OSUCCC – James Cancer Hospital. She obtained her MD at Albany Medical College, completed her internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship training at OSU where she received the Michael R. Grever Award for Outstanding Clinical Resident in Hematology/Oncology, and subspecialized in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and blood and marrow transplant (BMT). Dr. Larkin has focused her early work on the development and translation of novel therapies for leukemia into clinical realities through a combination of in silico, in vitro and and in vivo models. The Larkin Lab focuses on targeting myeloid blasts through surface targeting and novel drug delivery systems, as well as understanding the immune-editing and evasion tactics. Dr. Larkin is also involved in numerous clinical trials testing small molecules, immunotherapies, as well as cell therapies in patients with Acute Leukemias and other myeloid diseases.
