Christina Lockwood, PhD
Dr. Lockwood is a Professor at the University of Washington where she serves as Division Head of Laboratory Genetics and Director of the Genetics and Solid Tumor Diagnostics Laboratory in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, and Clinical Director of the Northwest Genomics Center in the Department of Genome Sciences. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics, and a Fellow of the ADLM Academy.
Dr. Lockwood’s professional experience has centered around clinical development and implementation of molecular methods and bioinformatics to detect genomic alterations. She has participated in national clinical laboratory compliance and regulation initiatives for the CAP, CLIAC, CLSI, TJC, AMP, ADLM, and NIH. Dr. Lockwood has also been active in the design and implementation of educational resources related to training in genomic medicine.
