Michael Spinner, MD
Dr. Spinner is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Hematology, Blood & Marrow Transplant, and Cellular Therapy program at UCSF. He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt and completed his internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at Stanford. He specializes in treatment of Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma with a particular interest in immunotherapy and personalized medicine. Dr. Spinner is a principal investigator on clinical trials of novel immunotherapies and targeted therapies for lymphoma and collaborates with leading lymphoma scientists on identifying biomarkers of response and mechanisms of resistance. While at Stanford, he developed a phase 2 trial of a novel immunotherapy combination to treat relapsed or refractory Hodgkin lymphoma. He serves on the Hodgkin lymphoma guidelines committee for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. In his free time, Dr. Spinner is an avid classical guitarist and has an active YouTube channel featuring a variety of guitar recordings.
