Dinesh Neupane, MSPH, PhD
Dr. Dinesh Neupane is an Assistant Scientist at Johns Hopkins University, USA. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, Denmark, and Torrens University, Australia. His research interests are community-based non-communicable disease (NCD) programs in low- and middle-income settings, with a broad focus on prevention and control through epidemiological, interventional, and translational research. Over the past five years, he has published more than 100 scientific articles, the majority of which are related to Nepal. Dr. Neupane founded the Nepal Development Society, an NGO which focuses on research, innovation, and development. He oversees the community-based management of non-communicable diseases (COBIN) cohort in Nepal and coordinates Nepal's May Measurement Month. Dr. Neupane supports the Lancet Commission on Hypertension Group and serves as the mentor for the Emerging Authors’ Program for Global Cardiovascular Disease at the US CDC. He is a fellow of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) and has served as the Nepal commissioner for the Lancet Commission on Reframing NCDs and Injuries for the Poorest Billion. As a core member of the Resolve to Save Lives Hopkins team, Dr. Neupane provides project management and scientific support. He received the Health Research Outstanding Award from the Nepal Health Research Council and the Hans Ibsen Hypertension Award from the Danish Society of Hypertension.
