I hold an undergraduate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and worked as a Medical Technologist for 5 years prior to medical school. I graduated from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in 2018 and completed residency at the Novant Health Family Medicine Residency Program in Cornelius, NC. I then completed a fellowship in Global Health at Florida State University, which allowed me to practice in various countries including Ecuador, Honduras, and Nepal, before returning to North Carolina to join the faculty at Novant as the Director of Maternal Child Health. My current interests include women's health, obstetrics, international medicine and health equity.
