Asrar AlAhmadi, MBBS. MAS-CR
Dr. Asrar AlAhmadi specializes in treating thoracic malignancies, including non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, thymoma and mesothelioma. She received her medical degree from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and completed her internal medicine residency and hematology and oncology fellowship at University Hospitals- Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research from the University of California, San Diego. She is a clinical investigator with an interest early drug development, biomarker-driven clinical trials and healthcare disparities outcomes. Her work has been published in such peer-review journals as Cancer, Molecular Cancer Therapy, Clinical Lung Cancer and Journal of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. AlAhmadi received multiple awards to support her clinical research and her research focused on drug development in small cell lung cancer and healthcare disparities. She participated in the ASCO-AACR Methods in Clinical Cancer Research (MCCR) workshop in Vail, Colorado. Currently she serves as the principal investigator (PI) and co-PI of multiple investigator-initiated studies, and cooperative oncology groups and pharmaceutically sponsored clinical trials. She serves on multiple national and international committees focused on cancer research and education.
