Dr. Yu is a specialty oncology care physician board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine currently on staff at the Inova Health System. She joined Inova in 2020 and has been in medical practice since 2012. Her area of interest is genitourinary cancers, which include prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. She is a clinician involved in direct patient care, a clinical research investigator, as well as a clinical instructor to medical students, residents, and fellows. She also serves on the Phase 1 Clinical Trials team at the Inova Schar Cancer Institute.

She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania with a major in biology, after which she received her doctorate in medicine at the Drexel University College of Medicine. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society in 2009. She completed her internal medicine and hematology/oncology training at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. 

She is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer.
