Hoda Badr, PhD
Hoda Badr, PhD is a tenured Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and Leader of the Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences Program at the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center (DLDCCC). With over two decades experience in cancer control research as a social/health psychologist, she focuses on how individual, interpersonal, and social determinants impact health and developing interventions to improve health and well-being. Dr. Badr holds key roles as PI, MPI, or co-I on grants from the NCI, ACS, NHLBI, and CPRIT. These grants utilize multi-method and multilevel strategies to address healthcare access and delivery disparities. Dr Badr’s expertise extends to implementation science, program evaluation, and community engaged research (CEnR), including stakeholder engagement. Dr. Badr has also led the establishment of the new Geospatial Analysis and Health Outcomes shared resource in the DLDCCC, which has a health-equity focus.
