Carlos Barcenas, MD, MSc
Carlos H Barcenas, MD, MSc, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Breast Medical Oncology and the Medical Director of the Breast Survivorship Clinic at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center who has an interest in breast cancer translational research, epidemiology, and cancer outcomes, and has published over 70 peer-reviewed manuscripts. Dr. Barcenas was awarded with the Paul Calabresi Career Development Award for Clinical Oncology (K12) for proposing the development of molecular surveillance programs measuring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with early breast cancer and designing clinical trials to optimize adjuvant systemic therapies guided by molecular residual disease (MRD).
