Polly Niravath, MD
Dr. Niravath earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California, then went on to attend medical school at the University of California, Irvine. She completed her internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, where she stayed on as faculty in the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center for 6 years. She moved to Methodist 9 years ago, where she serves as the director of the Cancer Survivorship program and the Section Chief of Breast Oncology. Her primary interests are breast cancer, symptom management, and aromatase inhibitor side effects. Dr. Niravath has earned many private and federally funded grants to conduct her research, which primary focuses on minimizing treatment-related side effects for breast cancer patients.
