Corliss L Newman, MD completed her medical training at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, WA,  followed by an Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of Washington in Rochester, NY.  She subsequently joined the faculty at the University of Rochester for 5 years, where she helped to grow their GI oncology program.  She later transitioned to private practice in Spokane, WA, joining the Rockwood Clinic as a Hematologist and Oncologist.  She joined the Faculty of the University of Washington teaching 1st and 2nd year Students in 2021.  She left the Rockwood Clinic in 2021 to devote more time to teaching, and continues to teach in both foundations learning and as a clinical medicine faculty and mentor at the University of Washington at the Spokane campus.
