Dr. Karine Tawagi is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology, and practices in the Division of Hematology Oncology at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She is Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Interim Program Director for the Hematology/Oncology fellowship and is involved in medical education at the medical student, resident and fellow level. She co-hosts the 'Two Onc Docs' podcast which is focused on board review medical education for hematology/oncology board certification. She has been a member of the ASCO Social Media Working Group as well as a Featured Voice for the ASCO annual meeting since 2020. 

Dr. Tawagi's clinical focus is the treatment of genitourinary cancers including but not limited to bladder, kidney, testicular and prostate cancer. Her research interests include medical education, clinical trials in genitourinary cancers, improving current gaps in healthcare, and health care disparities.
