Samuel Rubinstein, Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine
Dr. Rubinstein is an assistant professor and malignant hematologist at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and an associate member of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. His primary clinical and research area of interest is plasma cell dyscrasias, and he is focused on clinical trials designed to improve the standard of care of patients with these disorders. He has a particular interest in the management of rare plasma cell disorders, such as light chain amyloidosis and monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance, and is the director of the UNC Multidisciplinary Amyloidosis Program. In addition to clinical trials, Dr. Rubinstein has an informatics background, which he has leveraged to develop multiple prognostic scoring tools that are useful in the management of patients with plasma cell dyscrasias.
