Born and raised in Guatemala City, Nico obtained his medical degree in Universidad Francisco Marroquin. He moved to Boston to complete Internal Medicine residency at Boston University, and then relocated to Seattle as an ASH-sponsored Hematology-focused fellow at University of Washington/Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Current interests include hemostasis, thrombosis and immunohematology.
