Paul Hampel, M.D.

Paul J. Hampel, M.D., is a board-certified hematologist and oncologist specializing in lymphoproliferative diseases, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia, Richter transformation, and other non-Hodgkin and Hodgkin lymphomas. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he is a member of the Lymphoid Malignancies Disease Group in the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Hampel has strong clinical and research interests in improving outcomes for patients with CLL and other lymphoproliferative diseases through a better understanding of resistance mechanisms to targeted therapeutics and optimal sequencing of treatment. He is involved in clinical research, including clinical trials and real-world outcomes research. Dr. Hampel is also collaboratively engaged in basic science research investigating the clonal heterogeneity and evolution of disease in patients with CLL.
