Dr. Johnston is an Associate professor at Mayo Clinic Rochester who is interested in translational research involving novel agents in the treatment of lymphoma. Ongoing work involves the utilization of novel agents for treatment of central nervous system lymphoma including novel BTK inhibitors and chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy.  He also serves on the NCCN guidelines committee for Hodgkin lymphoma.  He has greater than 150 peer reviewed manuscripts.  Outside interests including kayaking, paddle boarding and feeding his wife's goats.
