Dan Zhao, MD, PhD is a medical oncologist specializes in pancreatic cancer. She is an assistant professor at the department of Gastrointestinal medical oncology (GIMO) at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Zhao is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology. She is the co-leader of the cellular therapy program at GIMO. Dr. Zhao is a member of the GI committees of SWOG and Alliance for clinical trials in oncology. She conducts clinical and translational cancer research and has published more than 30 research articles.
