Dr. David Y. Lee is an Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology for University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Lee earned his dual degree in medicine and biochemistry from USC MD/PhD program and completed his fellowship and residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Lee and his team have recently identified a putative oncogene for salivary gland cancers of head and neck, and will further characterize this protein and plans to develop targeted therapies against this gene. Dr. Lee is specifically interested in identifying novel molecules and pathways involved in cancer development and progression, and also has extensive training in cellular development, angiogenesis, transcription and epigenetics.
