Dr. Hashemi is currently an Assistant Professor within the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology, at the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC). She is a board-certified medical oncologist with a primary focus in the management of genitourinary cancers. At UNMCCC, she leads the genitourinary working group and oversees clinical trials in genitourinary cancers. Dr. Hashemi has been actively engaged in numerous trials conducted by the National Cancer Institute's (NCI's) National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN), as well as collaborating with industry partners, both as a site principal investigator and co-investigator. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, she serves as the Chair for the UNMCCC Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee (PRMC) and holds positions such as the NCORP Representative on the NCI Prostate Cancer Task Force. She is also a member of various committees, including the SWOG GU committee and HCRN GU committee.
