Dr. Villasboas is a physician-scientist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is specialized in the evaluation and treatment of adult patients with lymphoma, in addition to stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy. He leads the Indolent Lymphoma Working Group at Mayo Clinic and is principal investigator in a number of trials focused in the indolent B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma population. His research laboratory studies the interaction between the patient’s normal immune cells and cancer cells and aims to find ways to modulate the immune system to eradicate lymphoma.
