Jenna Kahn
Dr. Kahn specializes in gynecologic cancers and their treatment using both Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image-Guided High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy. HDR is a highly effective modality for the delivery of high doses of radiation directly into tumors with the greatest conformality and decrease effects to the normal tissues. She believes in a collaborative approach to patient care, which includes communicating with the patient and all physicians involved in the treatment team when deciding on a treatment plan.
She has been involved on a national level with leadership and is passionate about education and advocacy. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at several national and international meetings.
She grew up in Tampa, Florida and attending undergraduate and medical school at Brown University. While in medical school she spent two years at National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland as part of the Clinical Research Training Program working on clinical and translational research in Radiation Oncology. She completed her transitional year internship at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts and residency in Radiation Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Kahn lives in Portland with her significant other. They enjoy traveling, spin classes, exploring the outdoors, and hiking.
