Dr. Hung Khong is a Breast Oncologist, Co-Director of the Breast Cancer Program and Section Chief of Medical Oncology at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, AZ. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and fellowship training in Oncology at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, MD. He also completed a senior fellowship in cancer immunotherapy under the mentorship of Dr. Steven Rosenberg, Chief of the Surgery Branch, at the NCI. His research focuses on improving treatments and outcomes for patients with breast cancer through clinical research through innovating approaches in combining immunotherapy with targeted therapy or with chemotherapy, especially on the timing and sequencing of therapeutic agents in the combinations. He is the principal investigator on multiple clinical trials in breast cancer.
