Dr. Salene Jones is an associate professor at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Dr. Jones’ is a psychologist and social and behavioral scientist who studies how financial hardship affects health and how best to measure determinants of implementing evidence-based practices. Her research for the past ten years has shown the effects of financial hardship in people with breast cancer and other solid tumors. She is now exploring ways to prevent financial hardship in people with breast cancer. Dr. Jones is also using modern psychometric methods to create measures of barriers to the implementation of evidence-based cancer care.
