Dr. Wi is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic. He graduated from Catholic University of Korea, School of Medicine in 2007, and joined Mayo Clinic in 2012. He co-directs the AI Validation and Stewardship Program of Mayo Clinic Health System and serves as an Associate Director of both Mayo Clinic Children's AI Program and Precision Population Science Lab and HOUSES Program at Mayo Clinic Rochester. His research focuses on the impact of social and physical environmental factors on health outcomes, including asthma, care quality measures, Natural Language Processing algorithms, and AI for optimal asthma management. To date, he has published 85 papers in peer-reviewed journals, with 16 as first or senior author.
