Dr. Elvina C. Lingas is a board-certified internal medicine physician with diverse experience in hospital medicine, academic teaching, and clinical research. She is currently a first year Hematology and Oncology Fellow at UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center. 

She earned her MBBS with honors from Guangxi Medical University and completed her residency at SBH Health System in Bronx, New York. Her post residency experience included a tenure as Internal Medicine hospitalist at Presbyterian Hospital, Albuquerque, NM and as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in Stony Brook University Hospital, New York. 

Her contributions to medical literature include multiple peer-reviewed publications focusing on critical care, hematological abnormalities, and novel insights into COVID-19. Dr. Lingas’ commitment to improving patient outcomes is reflected in her active involvement in quality improvement initiatives. When she is not doing medicine, she enjoys traveling, gastronomy and spending time with her husband and 7 month old daughter.
