Dr. Deepti Behl is a medical oncologist at Sutter Health, Sacramento. She serves as chief of oncology, medical director for the Sutter Sacramento lung program, director of Sutter institute for Medical Research (SIMR), and Chair of the Sutter wide melanoma program there. She is the national Chair-elect for the ASCO TAPUR trial. She is board certified in hospice and palliative care, and also completed a fellowship at the Andrew Weil University of Arizona Integrative Medicine Program in 2023. She is a current member of the Tobacco Control and Cessation committee (TCSC) of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC). She has been listed in the "Best Doctors in Sacramento" list published by Sacramento Magazine multiple times over the years based on peer voting. Her research interests include lung cancer treatments and supportive care, including studying safety and uses of cannabis and other supplements in patients with lung cancer and other cancers. She is the Principal Investigator for numerous trials at her institution. Dr. Behl enjoys reading, hiking and enjoying nature with her family and dogs.
