Dr. Prajwal Dhakal received his MBBS degree from Tribhuvan University in Nepal, followed by an internal medicine residency at Michigan State University/Sparrow Hospital in East Lansing, Michigan. He completed his training with a hematology-oncology fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Currently, Dr. Dhakal is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa, where he focuses on acute leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. His research interests include investigating genetic factors that influence treatment response and overall survival in patients, along with exploring innovative targeted therapies. Outside of his work, Dr. Dhakal enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and cherishing special moments with his wife and daughter.
