Dr Alex Nester received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota prior to completing his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Hematology / Oncology at the University of Nebraska - Medical Center.

His current practice includes primary Benign Hematology, with interests in hemoglobinopathies, bleeding diathesis, and advancing access to gene therapies.

He currently resides in Omaha, Nebraska with his spouse and three children. His hobbies include board gaming and playing guitar by a camp fire.
