Dr. Basu is the section lead for Genitourinary Oncology at the University of Alabama ONeal Comprehensive Cancer Center. He initially obtained his medical degree from the Medical College Kolkata and completed his residency in internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins University - Sinai program in Baltimore, and a fellowship in hematology oncology from the University of Southern California. He conducts clinical and translational research primarily in renal and urothelial carcinoma and has published on the role of molecular residual disease in these indications.
