Mwanasha Merrill, MD
I am a hematologic oncologist with a focus on the treatment of patients with non-Hodgkin and Hodgkin lymphomas and other lymphoproliferative neoplasms. I have prior experience in preclinical drug development in the pharmaceutical industry and am passionate to advance novel agents and rational combinations for patients as a clinical investigator. My clinical research portfolio is focused on biologically informed therapies for patients with T-cell lymphoma. I am also seeking to meet the need of another group of patients who are currently underserved by developing tractable molecular diagnostic tools to expedite the accurate diagnosis of lymphoma for individuals in low- and middle-income countries.
I earned my bachelor's degree at Amherst College and my medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. I completed a residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Dana-Farber/Mass General Brigham. I am a recipient of the following awards: ASH Minority Resident Award, ASCO Conquer Cancer Award, ASH Minority Fellow Award, and a 2024 Lymphoma Research Foundation Scholar.
