Divya Koura
As an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, Dr. Divya Koura instructs medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Her clinical research focuses on graft versus host disease in stem cell transplantation patients. She has co-authored numerous abstracts and peer reviewed articles, and her work has appeared in Blood and Biology of Blood and Marrow Transplantation, among others.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Koura was a hospitalist at The Queen's Medical Center and a clinical instructor in the Department of Medicine at University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu. She completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology with a focus in bone marrow transplant at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. Koura completed a residency in internal medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where she also earned her medical degree. She is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology
