Maria Diab, MD

Maria Diab, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Henry Ford Health/Michigan State University. A board-certified medical oncologist, Dr Diab specializes in the treatment of pancreatic cancer and other gastrointestinal malignancies. Dr Diab received her Medical Degree from Damascus University in Damascus, Syria. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan. After completing fellowship, she joined the faculty at the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. She then joined the Henry Ford Cancer Institute. Dr Diab's research focuses on early and late drug development as well as translational research in gastrointestinal malignancies, with a focus on pancreaticobiliary cancer. She is involved in a number of clinical trials evaluating novel drugs and drug combinations in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies. She also holds professional memberships with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, along with other societies.
