Dr. Amiri is a Research Assistant Professor at the Institute for Research and Education to Advance Community Health (IREACH) in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University, one of the largest research organizations in the nation devoted to the health and healthcare of Native and rural peoples. She has been Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator of more than 16 projects funded by NIH, private foundations, and other major organizations. Her research considers health at the level of the individual and the community and uses geospatial and quantitative methods.
