Lori Buswell, MSN, ANP-C
Lori Buswell, MSN, ANP-C, is the Executive Director of the Center for Global Cancer Medicine (CGCM) at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. She has served cancer patients at the Institute for over 38 years as a nurse and nurse practitioner and held several leadership roles, including Vice President in Nursing and Patient Care Services. Lori's clinical work has included bone marrow transplant, outpatient medical oncology, radiation oncology and clinical research. Her leadership work has focused on designing and implementing clinical IT systems to increase quality patient care and safety, as well as improving provider workflow and revenue capture. She also helped build and oversee DFCI's satellite centers in the greater Boston area. Loriand the CGCM team work collaboratively with Partners In Health to develop, build and support in country capacity for oncology programs in Haiti and Rwanda. Lori has served as faculty for the National Baseline Cancer Training program in Rwanda and has been an invited guest lecturer at the University of Rwanda School of Nursing and Midwifery in the Master's in Nursing program. Lori has also worked with the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Society of Clinical Oncology in both Ethiopia and India training nurses in oncology.
