Ginny Meadows, MSHI, RN-BC
Ginny Meadows is an experienced clinical informatics professional and registered nurse, with more than 25 years' experience in clinical informatics and over 30 years working in healthcare. She brings a unique perspective, given her health care policy, quality improvement, and patient/caregiver advocacy experience.
Ms. Meadows is employed as Principal, Clinical Informatics at the MITRE Corporation, where she is currently involved in applying her knowledge and expertise to a multi-year initiative to make existing cervical cancer screening and management (CCSM) guidelines computer-interpretable (‘‘computable’’).
Ms. Meadows has served on several federal advisory committees, including the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) Advanced Health Models and Meaningful Use workgroup and the National Quality Foundation (NQF) Patient Decision Aids expert panel. She recently participated in the American Heart Association Scientific Statement writing group on “Informal Caregivers and Caregiving for Individuals with Heart Failure” and is currently participating in the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funded I-DECIDE-LVAD Trial stakeholder panel, working with the University of Colorado. Ms. Meadows has also held leadership positions with the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the Electronic Health Record Association (EHRA), and the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA).
Ms. Meadows has a master’s degree in health informatics with a focus on User Experience, and is board certified in nursing informatics
