Melissa Hardesty, M.D., MPH., is a Managing Partner at Alaska Women’s Cancer Care and one of only two board certified Gynecologic Oncologists covering the surgical and chemotherapeutic care of women with gynecologic cancers for the entire state of Alaska. Dr. Hardesty earned her Medical Degree from Albany Medical College, completed residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed her GYN/Oncology fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She has academic appointments at the University of Washington School of Medicine, University of Alaska Anchorage College of Health and Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. She has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals such as Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. Hardesty is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologist and she is an active participant in multiple committees for the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists.
