Katharine A. R. Price, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Oncology and Tumor Group Chair of Head and Neck Medical Oncology in the Division of Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  She graduated from Mayo Medical School in 2003 and completed her Internal Medicine residency through the Mayo Graduate School of Medical Education. After her oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center she returned to Mayo Clinic Rochester as a head and neck medical oncologist.  Her areas of expertise and clinical research include head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, de-escalated therapy for HPV oropharynx cancer, and salivary gland tumors. In addition to her work in oncology, she is the Diversity and Inclusion Leader for Medical Oncology and is actively involved in efforts in the Midwest to decrease health disparities and increase access to cancer clinical trials for minority and underserved populations. She has a specific interest in promoting education and awareness for the HPV vaccination and is working with local and regional healthcare providers and community groups on this effort.
