Dr. Kevin Barry completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Washington. Kevin then attended the University of California, Berkeley for his graduate studies where he studied the innate immune recognition of microbes in Dr. Russell Vance’s laboratory in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology. After graduate school Kevin continued to study the innate immune system, but now with a focus on cancer immunology, and joined the laboratory of Dr. Matthew Krummel in the department of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco. Kevin is now running his own research group exploring the innate immune response to cancer as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Public Health Sciences at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
