I was born in Oregon and raised in Iowa, where I cultivated my initial interest in science and medicine. I completed his undergraduate and medical school training at the University of Iowa before heading to Stanford University to complete internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship. I am grateful to have the privilege of returning to Iowa in order to serve the community that helped shape my most formative years.

My clinical focus is in the care of patients with lymphomas and other hematologic malignancies, and I prioritize clear communication and shared decision-making as we proceed forward. My scholarly interests include identifying clinically relevant characteristics of different lymphomas, exploring new treatment strategies, and promoting strength in medical education.
