Camille Puronen, MD, MPH

Dr. Puronen is the Medical Director of Cancer Care at Kaiser Permanente Washington. She completed residency and fellowship at the University of Washington / Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. After residency, she served as the University of Washington's Chief Resident in Global Health, directing a postgraduate medical training program in Kenya. Dr. Puronen completed an MPH in Health Economics at the University of Washington, focusing on novel anticancer agents in low-resource settings. More recently, Dr. Puronen served as the 2022-2023 ASH Congressional Fellow, working on a variety of federal cancer policy issues including value based care, reimbursement, prescription drug pricing and drug shortages. Locally, Dr. Puronen has served on the Bree Collaborative Workgroup and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Washington State Medical Association. She volunteers on the hematology teaching service at Harborview Medical Center and mentors underrepresented pre-medical students as part of the KP Inspired Allied Mentors program. She lives in Seattle with her husband, two energetic boys, and one lazy cat.
