Rachael Safyan, MD
Dr. Safyan is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Washington and in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. She earned her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine and completed Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Washington Medical Center. Dr Safyan then completed her Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she joined the faculty in GI medical oncology before returning to Seattle in Spring 2022.
Dr. Safyan's clinical expertise lies in pancreatic and colorectal cancers. Her research is dedicated to the development of biomarkers and novel therapeutics in pancreatic cancer, aiming to improve patient outcomes through innovative clinical and translational research.
