Patrick Johnson, MD
I am a medical oncologist on faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital specializing in the care of patients with lymphoma and those receiving cellular therapies. My research career is focused on developing clinical innovations to improve the quality-of-life and care delivery for patients with hematologic malignancies, with a particular focus on those with lymphoma and those receiving cellular therapies. Specifically, my work has focused on 1) investigating patient-reported outcomes, end-of-life outcomes, and health care utilization in cellular therapies; 2) developing interventions to enhance patient quality of life, therapy tolerability, and care delivery; 3) developing and testing palliative and supportive care interventions to improve the care of cellular therapy recipients; and 4) integrating patient-reported outcomes into clinical trials of novel therapies.
