Angelena Crown, MD
Dr. Crown is a breast surgical oncologist at the True Family Women's Cancer Center at Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle, Washington and is a Clinical Instructor in the University of Washington Department of Surgery. She graduated from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where she was both a Dean's Scholar and a Walter Lewis Croll Scholar. Following general surgery residency, she completed a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Dr. Crown is passionate about clinical research and is a member of the Alliance for Clinical Trials Breast Committee as well as the Locoregional Working Group and serves as the Swedish Cancer Institute Site PI for multiple Alliance and NRG trials. She is also a member of the Cancer Care Standards Development Committee within the American College of Surgeons. She is also interested in disparities in breast cancer care and serves on the health equity advisory group for the American Society of Breast Surgeons and has written multiple original manuscripts, invited reviews, and book chapters exploring this topic.
