Michaela Tsai, MD
Dr. Michaela Tsai received her undergraduate degree at Duke University in Durham, NC, where she graduated summa cum laude with degrees in chemistry and religion. She then received her medical training at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. She completed her residence in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, and then stayed on to complete her fellowship training in hematology, medical oncology, and stem cell transplantation. She started her career in Minnesota focusing on patient care, clinical research, cancer genetics and survivorship. She became the medical director of the Minneapolis Minnesota Oncology Clinic where she also held the Martha Bacon Stimpson Chair in breast medical oncology. She served as the principal investigator on over 100 clinical trials and authored numerous peer reviewed articles on breast cancer, genetics and survivorship related topics. In August 2021, she moved to Seattle, WA, where she joined the Swedish Cancer Insitute as the Medical Director of Breast Oncology. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and two dogs. She loves to hike, run and ski.
