Elizabeth Parker, MD
Dr. Elizabeth (Libby) Parker grew up in Alaska, attended Dartmouth College as an undergraduate student, and received her MD from the University of Washington (UW) School of Medicine. She trained at UW in Anatomic Pathology, where she also completed a breast/gynecologic pathology fellowship. She is currently an Assistant Professor at UW in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, where she practices breast and gynecologic pathology in addition to playing a role in medical education. She serves as a co-director for the UW School of Medicine pre-clinical pathology/histology curriculum and as an associate director for the pathology residency program. Dr. Parker's academic interests focus on how we communicate pathology to students, colleagues, and patients. In addition, she collaborates on a myriad of breast and gynecologic research projects. When not in the classroom or driving a microscope, she can be found backpacking and trail running.
